WESTMORE — Vermont State Police say a body discovered during a training exercise Wednesday near Lake Willoughby is believed to be that of Sue Mi Ko, a Craftsbury woman who was reported missing in January. The body was found several hundred yards from the Mount Pisgah trailhead by members of the VSP Search and Rescue Team during a scheduled training session on the afternoon of April 30. Ko, 51, was last seen on Jan. 9, 2025, when she was reported overdue from a hike in the same area. The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington will conduct an autopsy to confirm the identity and determine the cause and manner of death. Authorities said there are no signs of foul play, and the incident is not considered suspicious.
