Four men involved in two separate illegal border crossings in Pittsburg in September and February have pleaded guilty at federal court, and two have already served their sentences. This week, a Guatemalan man arrested in September 2024 for illegally transporting another Guatemalan national into the United States across the border pleaded guilty to bringing in and harboring an illegal alien. Esdras Aaron Calel-Cumes, 29, who had been living illegally in Massachusetts at the time, faces up to five years in federal prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 11 at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
