ST. JOHNSBURY — Multiple members of local law enforcement rushed to Kinney Drugs on Tuesday afternoon, following a report of a hooded man wearing a mask entering the store with a gun. Vermont State Trooper Riley Fenoff was quick to respond and located the man in the store. The trooper determined there was no threat, and the supposed gun in the man’s hand was really a cell phone. Prior to determining there was no emergency, officers from the St. Johnsbury Police Department and a Caledonia County Sheriff’s Deputy had responded, along with additional troopers. Several police vehicles were on the scene. Trooper Fenoff said the emergency call with the mistaken information was made by someone who was in a parked vehicle outside the store.
