Two months after his arrest, a Lancaster man has been indicted by a Coos Superior Court grand jury on charges deliberating driving his car into the Big Apple/Circle K convenience store in Lancaster after trashing it several hours before. Richard R. Ruddy, 35, is charged with two Class B felony counts of criminal mischief and a Class A misdemeanor count of criminal trespass. In the early morning hours of May 24, prosecutors said Ruddy drove his car through the front glass doors of the store and caused several thousand dollars in damage. He is also accused of pushing over, throwing, hitting, and kicking merchandise in the store and causing what police said was about $10,000 in damage from a separate and earlier incident.
