VSP Investigating Suspicious Shooting Death of Brandon Man Brian Bailey Found Dead in Home

BRANDON — Vermont State Police officers are investigating the suspicious shooting death of a 46-year-old Brandon man over the weekend. The victim, Brian Bailey, was found unresponsive inside his home on Champearl Road shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday, state police said in a news release. Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, police said in the release. Nobody is in custody. State police had said earlier in their news release on Monday afternoon that preliminary investigative work indicated it was an isolated event and there is no known threat to the community.
